Last updated: October 28, 2026. Crowd Room is coming soon for Apple Vision Pro with visionOS 26 or later.
Start speaking
Choose your practice, room and audience, enter the room, then select “Start speaking.” Allow microphone and speech-recognition access when requested. The timer waits for capture readiness. If capture fails, use Retry or the timer-only option.
Microphone or speech recognition is unavailable
Check Crowd Room's microphone and speech-recognition permissions in visionOS Settings. The current app requires English (US) on-device recognition. If it is unavailable, use timer-only practice; speech measurements and live speech-triggered audience behavior depend on captured input.
The audience is not paying attention
Check that “Automatic audience reactions” is enabled in Settings → Advanced. Start a practice session and speak for a moment. Listeners respond at different times rather than turning together. Some keep small natural movements and brief gaze breaks.
Practise audience questions
Enable “Audience questions” in setup or during practice and speak in English (US). Questions take time to prepare from your talk. When a guest raises a hand, select the guest or “Call on guest” when you are ready. Answer, then choose “Back to talk” to continue. You choose when to take a question.
AI questions or feedback are unavailable
Check Apple Intelligence availability in device Settings. Basic questions can be used when generated questions are unavailable. AI feedback needs enough captured speech; the current review requires at least 40 recognized words. A partial-capture message means some of the talk may be missing.
Available rooms
The current release offers five virtual venues, including an auditorium and pitch office. Placing an audience in your physical room with AR is planned for a future update and is not available in the current release.
Sound, comfort and performance
Check device volume, “Room & audience sound” and the optional “Mic effect.” If a large audience feels uncomfortable or runs slowly, try fewer guests and pause the session. If a gesture repeatedly looks wrong, tell us the room, audience size and action; a screenshot without personal content can help.
Speaking examples
Practice exercises include built-in text examples. Video examples have been removed; the app does not load a YouTube player or request advertising-tracking permission.
Notes, saved data and privacy
Practice notes and selected preferences are stored locally. The app does not provide a saved-audio recording library or account-based synchronization. You can clear your notes in the app or delete the app and its data to remove local saved information. Manage device backups separately. See the Privacy Policy and Terms of Use.
